JOB POSITIONS
A dental hygienist is a licensed paraprofessional, oral health educator and clinical operator. The basic job a dental technician consists of remove deposits and stains from teeth by scaling and root planning. They assist in the prevention and control of dental decay and gum disease.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
DURATION: 5 years
ELIGIBILITYCITIZENSHIP: Indian Nationals.
DATE OF BIRTH: Only those whose date of birth falls on or before 31.12.91 are
eligible to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with
Physics,
Chemistry, Biology and English and a minimum of 50% marks in Physics,
Chem istry and Biology.
Master of Dental Surgery(MDS) Specialisations
Community Dentistry,
Conservative Dentistry,
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery,
Oral Medicine & Radiology,
Oral Pathology,
Orthodontics,
Pedodontics,
Periodontics,
Prosthodontics.
DURATION: 3 years.
QUALIFICATIONS: Pass in BDS or equivalent degree recognized by Dental Council of
India.
INTERNSHIP: Candidates completing their compulsory rotating internship on or before
30th april are eligible.
Candidates completing internship after 30th april are not eligible for admission in
the same academic year.
REGISTRATION: Candidates should have obtained permanent registration with Dental
Council of India or any of the State Dental Council or should obtain the same
within one month from the date of admission |
